01The challenge
UCC Careers supports students in their move into the professional world. Beyond its regular posts, it wanted to give students proactive answers to career and degree problems, working directly with its careers consultants.
02What I did
- Managed social accounts with over 10,000 global followers, producing content on employment and institutional events.
- Created the weekly “Top Tip Thursday” series with UCC’s careers consultants, so students got practical solutions to real problems.
- Coordinated events through the Careers Connect platform and managed the institutional email account.
- Followed up after events with employers including Irish Distillers, USIT, KPMG and Microsoft.
03Results
- Top Tip Thursday posts increased likes and saves by 88% compared with regular posts.
- Saves matter most here: they show students kept the advice to use later.
